Võõbu-Mäo road section stretches over kilometres 64.2-80.2 on the Tallinn-Tartu-Võru-Luhamaa highway (kilometres 67.5-85-5 of the current Tartu highway). A new road will be built on the first half of the section (from Võõbu to Anna), to the right (SW) of the current highway. In the second half of the section (from Anna to Mäo), a new road will be constructed to the left of the current highway and will partially coincide with the current line. The new road will shorten the distance from Võõbu to Mäo by almost two kilometres.
